John has spent over a decade helping professionals and executives reposition their careers and reach the roles they have earned. He holds SHRM and ICF credentials and completed executive education at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. His work sits where career strategy, recruiting insight and storytelling meet.
John was born in the United States and spent his early years in Nigeria. He completed most of his education in the United States, where he also built the majority of his professional experience and earned his certifications, including his SHRM and ICF credentials and executive education at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Today he leads TalentScript from its headquarters in Nigeria, with a United States presence in Delaware.
Mary Peter.
Co-founder, TalentScript. Executive Career Specialist.
Mary Peter co-founded TalentScript and has spent the past decade helping professionals and executives turn hard-won experience into a career story decision-makers can act on. As an executive career specialist, she works across the full range of levels TalentScript serves, from a graduate's first real resume to a board candidate's biography.
She and John built the agency from nothing, one client and one referral at a time. That shaped how TalentScript still works today: a deep conversation before a single word is written, and no document that sounds like anyone else's.

For more than a decade, John Gbolahan has worked at the point where talented people meet the decisions that shape their careers. As a career strategist, executive resume writer and reverse recruiter, he has helped professionals at every level, from graduates to board members, present their value with clarity and confidence.
TalentScript grew the way trusted firms usually do: quietly, through referrals. Over nearly ten years, more than 1,000 professionals across North America, South America, Europe and Africa have trusted the agency with their careers.
John also co-founded JEM Search & Apply, an executive search and reverse recruiting firm. That gives TalentScript clients a rare advantage: documents written by someone who understands how recruiters and hiring leaders actually make decisions.
